John Denver, a singer-songwriter from Colorado who was a specialist in folk music has was a hit with millions of fans. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr., born Henry John Deutschendorf from Roswell in New Mexico, fell in Love with Colorado. He moved to Aspen. More than a few people took the road towards Colorado due to Denver's famous anthems to his adopted state. G. Brown the curator of Colorado Music Hall of Fame stated that John Denver was the best performer in capturing Colorado. Denver became one of the very premier Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. He is now regarded as the embodiment of Colorado to people from across the world. In my journeys, you encounter someone on the other part of the globe, someone from New Zealand and you say 'I'm from Colorado and the first word that comes you hear is Oh John Denver! Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's biggest solo accomplishment after performing with small folk bands. It was co-written and recorded by Bill Danoff. Danoff had written the song in conjunction with Johnny Cash in mind but when Denver was introduced to an earlier version he knew right away the track could become the next hit single. The singer recorded the song just a few days later when he performed it in front of crowds of enthusiastic fans on the streets of Washington D.C.
